I have a Samsung PL122 camera. I have taken lots of holiday photos which I desperately don't want to lose. I've been browsing this site for an hour unable to find a specific answer.

So, I can see the photos on my camera absolutely fine. There is no internal memory on the camera and they are 100% definitely on the SD card ( I have checked). Every way I try it I cannot get the pictures on either my laptop or phone. I have put the SD card into my phone, used a card reader plugged into PC, even connected the camera its self via USB with the SD card in it. I have used the software and drivers (intelli Studio) but it still doesn't show up.

Also when i try any of these methods I always get a notification asking me to format my SD card. It doesn't even show there are any files. Of course I don't want to do that as ill lose all of the pictures. Now I have an idea of what the problem could be.

Initially I filled the SD card with pictures, took the card out and put it in my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) i then used my phone to transfer the files into the phones memory. Once I done that i used the phone to format the SD card so i could use it again. once it was formatted i put it back in my camera and went snap happy again.

Sorry for the long winded explanation but I am really desperate and i hope the community can help me. Appreciate your time guys.

Chris

UPDATE: So I have tried both RECUVA and ASOFTTECH to try and recover my photos. RECURVA shows the device connected but when i try to scan it i get an error message saying "Unable to determine file system type". ASOFTTECH does not even recognise any devices i connect with the SD card in it, be it camera, mobile or card reader - yet i can see it in the device lists and its drivers (all up to date). I have followed the guides but to no avail. One guide for ASOFTTECH told me to format the SD card first and try to recover it after completing that. Im terrified to do that incase i loose it all.

Im at the end of my rope now. I cant understand why its all there on my camera but no other technology knows it exists!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! Any method will do, anything to get my precious pictures. Again thanks guy
