Laptop display gone Black

Thanks in advance Guys...
Mine is a Lenovo Y510P laptop.
I shut that down last night.Then I turned it on this afternoon.I wrote the password and waited for it to show up my desktop.
But the screen was BLACK.I can see nothing but my pointer.
I waited for about 30 minutes but nothing happened.
Please help me... :'(

Does it work with an external monitor? (via HDMI or VGA)
Im guessing that the warranty is out? If not perhaps try taking it back to the store.
Also that laptop should have two Graphics cards(integrated and nvidia). Could be an issue with the intel HD graphics or drivers. See if you can swich it from bios to always use Nvidia GPU and if it works then reinstall Intel graphics drivers.

My Desktop has the same problem.It runs for about 30 minutes then the monitor stops.But if i play game the monitor lasts for only couple of minutes.Monitor works well with HDMI.I cant restore that like my laptop coz it has a lot of important files... :(

Same problem? Weird. You are saying that you are getting a cursor but otherwise black screen?
What OS are you using? Can you boot into safe mode and reinstall graphics card drivers? Are you using integrated or discrete graphics(a separate card)?

How did you update the drivers? Swich to integrated? Safe mode?
A simple update might not always cut it. I recommend using a free software named "Driver sweeper". It removes any trace of the old drivers. After that just get the drivers from AMD website.
