Best of these 4Laptops?

Solution

I agree, as Hang already mentioned, the bit more CPU power you gain will not be noticed for the light usage of internet surfing, watching videos and normal office work. For $100 extra I would first get the extra 4gb ram for a total of 8gb ram. After that a SSD would be the best upgrade option to speed up boot times and program loading times up to ten times faster.

Since the Dell has a inferior CPU compared to the other 3 it already performs (a little bit) worse.
Of the other 3 they are pretty much identical, so I would choose the ASUS for its cheapest price.

Perfect ! I see that the Toshiba 5100 is better than the other 5302 ... So , hard decision , Toshiba or Asus ? I think Asus is a litttle better in laptop than Toshiba , no ? I like very much Asus , and never have Toshiba...

I have laptops from both brands, and never had any problems with either. For those things as you described they will do fine. I would however get an extra 4gb of ram to make sure windows runs smooth. An i3 will peform better of course, but for only websurfing, light office work and watching videos there will be no difference in performance.

For basic use, you can probably be OK with the cheap Celeron laptops and then swap out the hard drive for a solid state before you install Windows 7 on it. Even a 120 gig SSD is plenty for basic use, 64 gig even if you won't keep games or many media files on it. SSD will make the laptop feel faster than going from a Celeron to an i3 for those lower end systems.

Sorry , i am from Argentina , i dont say that . So i dont knwo if i can open the laptop , i lost the warranty ... I am very newbie in laptops , obviously you two have the best option ( celeron + 8gb RAM + SSD ) but i really prefer to dont open the laptop for the warranty and not change the hardware... For that question i put the Lenovo of the i3 + 6GB RAM , really i dont have any idea if i have to spend that $100 extra or go for the asus wirh celeron and 4GB ... So with the asus i will going fine i think , like i say , it doestn matter if the laptop dont be super fast , i only want no freezes , and that the laptop not going very slow when i websurfing or using office...

Adding in ram is very easy and does not make you lose the warranty. You can find any guide on youtube for this, but it will be described in your laptop manual as well. It usually is only 1 screw on the back and than clicking in the extra ram. It is done in less than 1 minute.

Sorry guys , i search and search and i find it that Asus and Toshiba have 1 slot memory and is not upgredeable , so the maximum memory support is 4GB !!! I read it in some pages , if u like to confirm it http://www.toshiba.com/us/computers/laptops/satellite/C50/C55-B5100 ( say that memory is not upgredable ) but in this says that memory maximum is 8GB http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Toshiba/satellite-c55-b5100 , but i think is wrong because in other pages says 4GB maximum , same in the Asus ... So i dont know now what i go to do...
