Hi,
So, I have an Asus N76VZ (16GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce GT650M, I7 3630QM, Windows 8.1) that had several heat issues, I've send it to asus for a repair but didn't got any luck. After the warranty expired I gave it to a friend who has years of experiment in cleaning pc's and fixing them, he has everything expect 1 thing, he doesn't understand anything about games.
After he cleaned my pc, note that he only cleaned and change some sponges he didn't touched anything else, the heat issue disappeared but, all the games dropped the fps. Since now I only play CS:GO I can say that I played with around 100fps and now I got dropped to 40/50fps and 10 near a smoke. And the fps sometimes goes crazy and keeps going from 40/50fps to 100fps in 1 sec and then goes back to 40/50fps for like 5 secs and it goes on and on..
http/www.3dmark.com/3dm11/9857881 this is the test I made with the 3DMark Demo on steam. I also downloaded a program called FurMark, here's the result, and I noticed that the memory was jumping from 405mhz to 900mhz.
Already tried to change the settings on nvidia control panel, all drivers up to date and nothing. Searched around and got nothing that could do the trick..
Someone knows anything about this mystery?
