We've had our old VHS tapes converted to DVDs but they don't play on Blu-Ray player! How can I fix this so that we can watch them using our Samsung Blu-Ray player?
Thanks!

Solution
Contact the person who did the conversion and find out if they made DVD data discs or DVD video discs (the blanks are the same but the format is not). Your bluray may not play video files that have been burned onto blank DVDs.
If this is the case they can take care of it for you or you can do it yourself with any computer with any DVD Video disc burning software.

Thank you for your solution, americanaudiophile!
Can I just copy the existing DVD onto my computer and then "remake" it as a video DVD using some kind of DVD authoring program? I still have the original VHS tapes so I could redo them if I needed to...but that entails a lot of other questions...*sigh*
