My laptop is very stuttery and can't run games well any more at all because of the stuttering (while playing on lowest graphics settings).

My laptop was pretty much fine up until recently so I disassembled it and cleaned the dust then put it back together which only seemed to worsen the problem.

I have tried defragging the hard drive, running pc doctor, scanning for virus's, running game booster, checking core temps etc.

FPS: Skyrim low 15-20fps,CS:GO very low 50-60fps (very stuttery), Osu! unknown fps but very stuttery, Garry's Mod low 40fps and stuttery in higher populated areas

Specs: 6gb RAM, Intel HD 4000, intel core i5
LAPTOP NAME: Dell Inspiron 3537 (mid 2013)

Solution
Hey there, Slippy Mate.

I'd recommend that you backup your data, just in case. Then download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool so that you can test the drive, to see if there are any errors or bad sectors. Other than that you could try testing your RAM as well to see if there's anything out of the ordinary.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.

Hi there Boogieman,

I have just solved the problem this morning, I looked at my PC info and it told me that I had 2gb of ram and 1.5gb usable so I knew something was wrong right away so I took the RAM out and put it back in and now it works again :)

Thanks for the help anyway mate
