I have a hd video camera with hdmi outs, and I want to use a hdmi computer monitor directly in instead of having to buy a camera monitor (they are really expensive, small, and not very good resolution for the price). I am not going to use a tower at all...The camera has a hard drive. Will this work? not sure :/

Solution
If the camera has an HDMI out, and the monitor has an HDMI in, then it should work fine. Camera monitors are just meant for durability and portability hence the price.
