So earlier tonight, I accidentally clicked the mute button on my sound. It did not appear muted (with the little circle and cross through it) but it stopped producing sound. I tried to turn it back on by clicking the button again but the button was broken, so I figured a restart would help. I hit the restart button, and it powered down. Then it went to power on, and it made the standard little whirring noises, the power button light flicked on, and the lights in the front left of the laptop turned on, but absolutely nothing else happened. No keyboard lights, screen, anything.

I tried it several times, to no avail. I searched for solutions using my phone, and tried a million different things, unplugging my cords, taking out my battery, spamming various button combinations while starting, everything I could find. I tried waiting several minutes between attempts, I tried everything me, my friends, and the internet offered. Nothing made any change.

I went to make dinner, and came back to try to turn it on again and it was mysteriously fixed. I got in, it said it was still muted, so I tried to turn mute off, but it kept defaulting back to muted, so I tried to restart it again. It experienced the same issue with powering up again. I tried restarting it several more times and it failed an additional three times before powering up correctly and I currently post this from it. What the hell is wrong with this thing? I am not technologically competent in the least. I do not understand why it would work sometimes and not others. Any help in fixing this so it doesn't happen anymore is greatly appreciated. I'm afraid of turning it off and it just not working again.
