There is also the 14" Dell Inspiron 14 3000 series which starts at $200. Basically it has the same specs as the 11" HP Stream 11 laptop, but it has a 500GB HDD for storage. The HP Stream 11 only has 32GB of eMMC storage; faster than HDD, but slower than SSD. It comes in dark charcoal rather than bright blue or pink.

The EE205 looks a good buy for a school student ... and its cheap.
One of my sons has one and he carts it around everywhere ... so far its been very good.

What's a "year 6" student? 6 years old? 6th grade?
For something inexpensive I would recommend the HP Stream 11 which comes in either blue or pink for $200.
