Nice phone, enjoy!

You will need an adapter like this: http://www.shopandroid.com/startechcom-headset-adapter-for-headsets-with-separate-headphone--microphone-plugs/11A75A20303.htm

And a 3,5"-to-RCA cable like this: http://www.amazon.com/igloon-TM-Meters-Plated-Splitter/dp/B00M93TXPO/ref=sr_1_38?s=audio-video-accessories&ie=UTF8&qid=1431726611&sr=1-38 (3 meters/10 feet)

Use the AUX input from the amplifier, dial down the phone volume for best quality and try not to charge or answer the phone as long it's connected to the amplifier, to reduce the electrical shock hazard (the amplifier is indeed old, the insulation from mains may not be the best).

You could try to directly use the 3,5"-to-RCA cable, but it is possible the phone...

You could try to directly use the 3,5"-to-RCA cable, but it is possible the phone will go into MUTE mode (using a standard 3,5" jack will be equivalent to continually keeping pressed the Answer/Mute button from the original headphones).

dude this is the best answer i could hope for!!
ok so just to be clear: i take the adapter and connect it to the phone. then i take the 3.5 to RCA and connect the 3.5 jack to the adapter and the RCA to the amplifier.

Exactly, just be sure to use the Headphone output from the adapter.
