I've had my laptop for almost 2.5 years and have never had power problems until today. I was using my computer for a few hours, then I stopped and did other stuff for a while and came back to find it asleep (even though I have that disabled). After fiddling with all the possible physical connection problems (outlets are fine, confirmed by other devices), I noticed that the green light on the charger won't come on. Is this a sign of death or is it something I can fix?

if the power adapter has a power cable that can be removed from the adapter to the wall, remove & replug back into the adapter. if still no light the the adapter is dead. your local computer store should have compatible power adapters but make certain it has same connector as yours, has same voltage as yours & same amperage or higher the yours NOT lower.
