Which driver for my integrated graphics?

Hello,

I got an old Dell Inspiron off Craigslist for $75, wiped it, and installed Windows 8.1. Since then it works fine except that whenever I shut down, or whenever the PC goes into sleep mode, it then immediately fires back up. I've done some research on this issue online, and many people are saying they experienced a similar problem because of a Windows update to their graphics chipset.

I believe this laptop's chipset is Intel series 4, I think it said G45 Express Chipset? The original system had Windows Vista, and that's what the Dell site wants me to use when I scan the machine, the driver for Vista.

Where should I got to get a driver that isn't the one for Vista, but also isn't the Windows Update one that I believe is causing my restarts?

Other things I've tried to solve this issue:
-Disabled "wake from shutdown" on the network adapter
-Disabled "automatically restart on system failure" in Startup and Recovery
-Disabled "Wake up on LAN"
-Scanned for malware and found none (Spybot S&D)

I've also read about replacing the CMOS battery... I'd happily do this in a desktop, but getting to the CMOS in this laptop means a near-total teardown, which I'm not excited about doing.

Thanks,

Rich

2 things are gonna make finding drivers for this EXTREMELY hard. 1 you have a different version of windows installed then it came with, and 2 its a laptop so theres not gonna be many off brand sites with drivers. Now what you could do is try and find drivers for it that work with windows vista and try to see if windows 8.1 will accept them but that is a really really long shot.1 options here. You can re-install vista that is now like 8 years old. But if the laptop is fully functional i wouldn't. id just take the battery out when i turned it off. But other then that you are boned you can try calling dell but unless you have a warranty they are useless.
