The first two avatars in this thread are very fitting.

Can you give us a bit more info to go on, such as preferred screen size, battery life, what kind of CPU and RAM you want, any brands you prefer over others (eg Samsung, Lenovo, Dell, etc), etc etc.

I prefer 15.6 inch screen size , battery life of at least 4 hours , CPU-core i7 , RAM-8gb or more and I prefer MSI, ASUS and Lenovo . But if there are good laptops in other brands I am willing to look into it .

Just saw the avatar :D

Asus, MSI, and Lenovo are all quality brands. I have a Lenovo Y500 and it's an awesome laptop, the current model I believe is called the Y50. I want that new Asus ROG laptop but I'm a bit cash poor at the moment.

These are the two laptops I have shortlisted , which do you think is the better one ?

MSI:

ASUS ROG:

I know the MSI has only 8gb ram compared to the ASUS which has 16GB . I am okay with 8GB of RAM. I am concerned on the other aspects like Display , Keyboard and viewing angles.

PS: The ASUS ROG that I have shorlisted is the one with FHD display not the IPS display . The IPS display is way out of my budget. :(

I'd choose the MSI mainly because I like the full color Steel Series keyboard (I saw the GS60 in real life and it's pretty impressive) but other than that, yeah they're pretty much identical. Just depends on what brand you prefer over the other.
