My Lenovo Thinkpad T440p laptop, with Windows 7, suddenly started to run extremely slow.
I tried removing the RAM sticks alternately, but the problem persisted. I also checked the RAM health with Memtest86, but all tests passed.
I also reset it to factory settings (via Lenovo Recovery software), but that did not help either.
I booted Ubuntu from a USB drive (without installing), and worked perfectly fine; but I'm not sure which conclusion to draw from that.
So, what else could I try?
