Hello

Plz have a look at two laptops by HP

1) HP-r202tu Price Rs 31,000/-

Processor Intel Core i3 4th gen
Chipset HM87
Cache 3 MB
Variant 4005U
Clock Speed 1.7 GHz

Intel HD Graphics 4400

2) HP-v202tu Price Rs 37,500/-

Processor Intel Core i3 5th gen
Cache 3 MB
Variant 5010U
Clock Speed 2.1 GHz

Intel HD Graphics 5500

All other features are same.

I want to do normal tasks like document processing, movies , music and light games then should I go for 5th gen Ci3?

Thanks
Sandeep

In terms of CPU performance, the 5th generation Core i3 is only on average 4% faster than the 4th generation. The 5th gen's Intel HD 5500 is faster than the 4th gen's Intel HD 4400, but performance varies by the specific game which can range between 3% - 15% better performance. Perhaps up to 20%.

5th gen Intel CPUs consumes less power than 4th gen Intel CPUs, so you should generally get better battery life.
