I'm looking for a pretty basic setup for the computer to replace my aging Klipsch set of speakers. I'm a big fan of my current speakers and may just get another set of those but wanted to see what are some good options out there. Currently I have something like this http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-ProMedia-Certified-Computer-Speaker/dp/B000062VUO/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1429844848&sr=1-2&keywords=Klipsch+speakers and looking for the same with the replacement setup.

Let me know if there are any better options out there.

Thanks for the input!

Did they other ones fail on you so you had to replace them? I've had my current set since 2008 or so.

I had half of a sub blow I believe to abuse and a controller go bad in the next set. The current ones were bought used off ebay and I believe they were a floor model and perfect still in the box. For my particular setup, I would not look for anything else. Good luck.

Gotcha. Yeah, I love the setup I have now. Looks like not a lot of opinions on this matter. That or Klipsch is the best option out there for the money and there is nothing better to be suggested.

i had the klipsch promedia 2.1 set for a few days in the past. i thought they sounded good and had great build quality though the subwoofer was far too large and overpowered the sound. since i was so impressed i went and looked up klipsch in the home theater market and ended up with some home theater speakers from them (quintet iv 5.0 satelite speakers, and a sw450 subwoofer)

if you want an upgrade and like the klipsch sound, perhaps upgrade to a receiver and home theater speaker type system. perhaps find a pair of quintet's used, get a small sub and a stereo receiver for a 2.1
