I want to setup my HP 15-e035ss pavilion laptop with 2 addition screens. both screens show up, sadly only one can be selected. Is their an backdoor to fix this?

I tried already looking for an option in the bios, but no luck so far.

Thanks in advance for any ideas, that don't bring additional costs.

Hello sgeef

If you have already purchased an external USB VGA adapter for your laptop and have installed its driver on your Windows, there may be some problem with the sequence in which you are connecting your external monitors.

This is a two-step process:

Step 01 (Connect the First External Monitor)

1) Power off your laptop.
2) Connect one of the two external monitors to the laptop's built-in VGA port.
3) Power the laptop back on, and log on to the computer after the Windows boots.
4) Press Windows + P keys on your keyboard simultaneously.
5) From the displayed popup box with multi-monitor options, click Extend.
6) Once the display is extended to both built-in and the first external monitor, you can then proceed to the second phase...

Step 02 (Connect the Second External Monitor)

7) Make sure that the driver for USB video adapter is already installed on the Windows.
8) While keeping the first external monitor connected and the display being extended on both built-in and first external monitor, connect the USB video adapter to any one of the empty USB ports on your laptop.
9) Wait till Windows detects the adapter, and once it does, connect the second external monitor to the USB video adapter you just connected.
10) After connecting, press Windows + P keys on your keyboard again.
11) Click Extend from the popup box that appears to get the display on both the external adapters.
12) After you are displayed with a blank screen on the second monitor, you can drag and drop the required icons to populate the empty area accordingly.

Please let me know if this worked. :)

Hi viveknayyar007,

I will try this solution as my last resort, but i think that here should be a solution for the problem without buying additional adaptors etc.

Thanks for your response in advance,
