Hi , i recently just bought my new 19.5inch monitor ASUS VS207DE (1600x900 resolution) and the color accuracy is a bit off and not as vibrant as my old LG Monitor L1550S..
Also, when I test out the black level capability from this site : http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php
, i can only notice the last row of boxes image and surprisingly, my old LG monitor can display the boxes even at the most uppermost row.. I've tried configuring the brightness, contrast, and even saturation from the monitor options but it doesn't change anything much..
Could it be that the product is defective or something else? Thanks in advance. :)

EDIT: ok, so i managed to get all of the boxes to display by going to my Nvidia control panel, but the color accuracy still doesn't improve that noticeably..

Hello,

I bought this Acer monitor back in august of last year: Acer UM.CV6AA.005 19-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor. In its native resolution, text is rendered in a sort of gray, and no amount of adjusting will produce a darker color. Like you, I resorted to working with my Nvidia controls but in order to get readable text, I had to change the resolution to 1152 X 864. That gives me blotchy words and numbers, but that is better than faded gray. I work with text, writing applications and word processors, spread sheets and data bases. The damn thing leaks light all around the edges, too. I sorely miss my nice clear Samsung. I will NEVER buy another Acer monitor. Sorry you got stuck with one. :(
