Replacement audio jack for home cinema system (3.5mm internal)

Ok so I managed to break the internal audio jack within my LG home cinema system...

(Before anyone suggests, I can only use the "Audio in" option in order to use the cinema system)

I have a soldering iron and wonder if I purchase a 3 pin internal 3.5mm audio jack connection, could I just replace this myself? Would this work...

Below are 3 images of the broken jack needing replaced (please note the plastic surrounding the pins has broken away) :

Yes this should be an easy fix for you. Do you know how to solder? If so then it looks very doable. I suggest you get something similar to this (http://www.amazon.com/ECG-J-045-DS-Watt-Desoldering-Iron/dp/B00068IJSG/ref=sr_1_8?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1428936845&sr=1-8&keywords=solder+suckers). Radio Shack or similar places should have one. It will make the job very easy. As you heat the existing connection(s) you remove the solder with the sucker feature. The old jack comes out easy.
