So the last time I turned on my computer was last night. I didn't use it for internet or anything just some offline games. I shut it down and start it up again a few hours ago and do some web browsing, and key words are highlighted all over the pages i visit. If i hover over them it displays an ad. I am very safe on the internet, and very rarely download anything risky. I scanned using antimalwarebytes and it found 23 potentially harmful files and got rid of them. I looked in my programs list, and three programs that were installed today(keep in mind I JUST turned my computer on) with the default program icon and no publisher or any other info. I immediately deleted them. But the ads still appeared, and as im typing the word "flat" in the thread example is highlighted. The ads are provided by "DiscountMan" and "Space Offers" does anyone know what the problem is?

Solution
Maybe you went on one of their websites.

Install and use Avast (free version) anti virus, Malwarebytes (free version) and AdBlockPlus

and if using Chrome get rid of any unwanted Extensions.

Just make sure you download unchecky, it prevents the installation of unwanted programs and extensions in your browsers when installing commonly downloaded and installed programs.
