Hello there, I would like some information about how to stream movies that I have on my computer to my tv. I have a Samsung Smart TV without a network adapter built in, so if I want internet I will have to go and buy a usb stick that plugs in the back.

So, how can I do that?

Your smart TV has to at least have wifi built in, and should have a network port, or it's not a smart TV. Smart TV's need internet, part of what makes them so smart.

There are dozens of ways. Samsung has software to do this called allshare.
you can get a cheap device like a roku
you can plug your pc into your tv via hdmi
you can share you files on your pc through windows media player in a DLNA way or install another dlna server on your pc like plex or others, and then use samsung smart hub to connect and stream

Dunno if being sarcastic, but it is a smart tv, from samsung. Its just the old version that requires you to buy a usb thing to have wifi.

Roku costs 155 euros while Chromecast 35 euros, but I dunno if I am going for that option.

About this windows media player in dlna and plex... how can I do that? what do I need?

Thanks for the help so far.

I think I have a plan, supposedly I have a computer near the TV, I can connect that PC with the tv via ethernet cable, and use the PC's network adapter to connect to the router. That should work right?
