Hi,

I recently formatted my MSI GE600 (4 years old and working perfectly before the format) and reinstalled all the required drivers (including AMD - then ATI - and Intel onboard graphics drivers) on the original installation disc.

After the launching to the desktop, the resolution is 1024x768 instead of 1366x768 and I am not able to switch to the ATI HD5730 GPU by pressing the touch button just below the screen. Another touch key which lights up when the laptop is in 'power-saving' (i.e. onboard graphics) mode also fails to light up until another touch key is pressed.

How can I get my laptop working properly again?

Solution
Get the latest drivers from MSI's support site, the ones on the disk are probably several versions old by now. Make sure you install the chipset drivers and also the utility drivers for the keyboard.
