Hi,

I have been running my dragon (HP Pavilion HDX9402TX) with windows 8.1 installed and had very few problems with it however.... I had recently installed some new software for work, used it for a month on trial with no issues. Once I purchased the software and entered the registration code the trouble started. The computer would just randomly switch off and have to be re booted and this would happen every 10 to 20 minutes. I started to trouble shoot and got to the point where I foolishly thought that a system refresh would be a good thing. WRONG because that deleted all the original drivers and most of my software. All is back up and running with the exception of the display graphics card driver. Mine has the ATI Radion card, I have downloaded the driver from the ATI site but it isn't working nearly as smoothly as the previous installation. I was wondering if anyone out there has any info as to where I can download the appropriate driver install file for my computer?

Thanks for the help guys, have installed the HP driver (the HP installer actually installs the ATI Catalyst device scanner and installs the driver via the ATI site).

I am actually dual booting my computer, I wanted to keep the "Out of the box" install on the original drive and I have installed the W8.1 system I use every day on a second physical drive. If I boot into Virus... Oops I mean Vista ;-) everything works as it should so @prostar computer , the video card should be OK. Once it is loaded (this is what the issue is as that can take 15 mins) all is well and everything is normal in W8. If I hibernate the machine, it comes back no probs, only have the issue on a cold restart.

Would love to upgrade the CPU and Graphics card to give it a bit more speed though, I have the feeling that it may be the fact that the devices on-board are just outdated and the system is struggling with old drivers on the newer operating system
