okay, I've had an asus q302la for about 6 months now, running windows 8 and an Intel video card
all of the sudden, the screen has lost about 50 percent brightness. The brightness controls work just fine (fn + f5/f6) but the total brightness is way down. I tried reinstalling drivers and turning off adaptive brightness but to no avail.
Heres the funny thing: when I restart the computer and the "restarting" orange screen appears, the brightness is restored. It maintains said brightness during the whole restart and will even stay 30 seconds into desktop mode, but then it returns to being dimmed and I can't get it back until another restart.
Anyone have experience with this?
