I have a MSI GS60 Ghost-470 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4700HQ (2.40GHz) 12GB Memory 1TB HDD 128 GB M.2SATA SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB 15.6" Windows 8.1 64-Bit

I started getting blue screens about a week ago. They are random but seem to happen when i have been running my computer for a long time or starting up a game. I tried to do a system reset thinking it was a problem with my windows installation. The computer bluescreened during the reset procedure. I tried it again and it crashed an 96% the third time it worked. I have not gotten any more bluescreens but i ran a system memory test and got recovery errorCode 0xc0000023
I am currently running memtest86 and it is at 303713 errors and counting. Is this definitive proof that my error is with my memory or could this also be caused by and bad processor or motherboard? 350000 now Any suggestions are much appreciated. All my data is backed up and I have no problems voiding my warranty if it is just replacing the memory. I do not want to do a MB or processor replacement. 423000 errors now

I stopped it at 700461 errors

I decided that I did not want to pay $50+ for shipping to a company that i do not trust to handle my computer. I broke in and had to remove the MB to pull the 4GB stick of memory out of my machine. I am running another memtest and currently have 0 errors. Looks like i need new memory. If only MSI would replace my memory for me. :( oh well i didnt want their warranty. if this is the fix ill mark answered.
