I'm new here, so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Hello, I am looking for a laptop on which I can play games, surf the web, use Unity, etc.

Specs I want:

Quad core i5 or i7 2.3 ghz+
GT 750m or better
At least 8gb ram
1080p or 900p 14 - 15.6 in screen with good color
Under 1.3 in thick
Under 6 pounds
750 GB / 1 TB hard drive 5400rpm, or SSD 512 GB

I need good battery life, ex. Gaming over 1 hr, able to watch a full 720p or 1080p movie without running out.

Good cooling and noise reduction are very important to me.

I do not want a toshiba, as I have bad experiences and have heard even worse things about them. I like dell, asus, and acer a lot. HP is also good. Basically, anything but toshiba/mac.

A decent keyboard is also important.

I would prefer non-radical styling, ex. HP, acer, dell type styling. Nothing like Alienware or the ROG series. I like silver or black.

I will be using it for gaming, Web browsing, multitasking, using Unity, and watching 720p/1080p movies.

Gaming requirements:
Skyrim high/ultra 768p - 1080p 30 fps
Borderlands 2 and pre sequel high 768p -1080p 30 fps
League of legends ultra 1080p 60 fps
Titanfall high 768p - 1080p 30 fps

I have been looking at the Acer Aspire v15 nitro, asus X X550JK-DH71 and lenovo y50.

Thanks!

Out of the three laptops you have been looking at, I'd suggest going with the Lenovo Y50.

The ASUS is pretty much the same price as the LENOVO but it has a weaker GPU.

I did a bit of research and from what I saw, the ACER costs more than the LENOVO while they both have the same specs. They both have the same i7 core, GPU and specs.

Plus battery difference between the two is 3 hours. LENOVO = 4 hours, ACER = 1.75 hours: http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/laptops-portable-pcs/laptops-and-netbooks/acer-aspire-v15-nitro-1267631/review

The LENOVO Y50 uses a GTX 860M which can run your gaming requirements at your desired FPS and even higher.
Skyrim High/Ultra: 85 fps/50 fps
Borderlands 2 and Pre Sequel High: 60 fps...
