Hi guys, Got a bit of a problem with my laptop first of all here are the specs
Packard Bell EasyNote_TM97_GN_030UK
Intel i3-370M
Intel HD Graphics
4GB DDR3 Memory
320GB HDD
I got this laptop for the Mrs and i suspect overheating could of been an issue. Its past it's 12 month warranty so can't take back to the manufacture. Whats happening is that if I turn the laptop on (battery out just AC) then its turns on and in 2 seconds turns off and repeats untill the AC is unplugged. I tried booting with just the battery and I have the same issue apart from it don't repeat just happens once and stays off. After looking online for a while I've taken out RAM and inserted just one at a time to see if issue was resolved. No change happened. I can see the CPU fan spinning when the laptop is first turned on. So I'm wondering if there is any way of trying to fix this issue or is a new motherboard what i need and how easy is it to replace one if so?
If you can help I'd be very grateful Thanks :)
Please Help Guys

Doesn't sound like the mobo is your problem. Sounds like the cpu fried. I encountered the same scenario once with a lenovo that had an i3 390m. CPU replacement on a laptop is not impossible, but like rebuilding a car engine for the first time, it will take you all day to do the job. If you can find a replacement that already has a working CPU on it, that might be a better value, but be warned laptop replacement parts through third-party vendors is a pain.
