Just bought a house that has a nice surround sound system. I have Cable TV and would like to hook up my Samsung Smart TV, Surround Sound (with receiver), and DVD. Help

The simplest installation would be to connect your cable box and DVD to your receiver with HDMI cables and the receiver video out to the TV with HDMI. .
An alternative would be to connect the cable box and DVD to the TV with HDMI and connect the TV optical audio out to the receiver. This might be better if you want to use the TV without the receiver sometimes.
If your TV and receiver do not have ARC (audio return channel) through the HDMI connection then you would need an additional optical audio connection between the TV and the receiver in either setup.
If the existing speaker wires are not labeled you can ID them by connecting a AA battery across the 2 conductor speaker wire and listening for a click to come from the speaker. Then connect those to the receiver and run the receiver setup.
