So I am looking to buy a 13 inch macbook pro for school next year. I can either get the retina model with an i5 and 256 gb ssd or a retina model with an i7 and 128gb ssd. Will the i7's performance be worth the loss of storage? I plan to use the mac for school work and some Counter Strike.

THanks!!

Is the i7 dual core or quad core? Are the cpu's 5th gen (aka broadwell; is newest, released for macbook less than a month ago I think) or 4th gen (aka Haswell). What speed is it in ghz? It really changes alot if it's quad or dual core.

Keep in mind that macbooks dont have pretty much zero upgrade ability, so if you get the 128gb ssd, you will either have to store extra stuff on a external hard drive, or delete them. OSX 10.9 yosemite already takes up ~10gb or more, and counter strike global offensive takes up 8gb also. Most other AAA games take up 20gb or more, and a hd movie should take up ~8gb space too. So a 128gb drive will be full with 3 games, a few programs, a few movies, and some files. Not much space IMO.
