My x55a notebook is s**t. (Unfortunately). Uefi update 34% = dead (frozen) my pc.
contine:
Every Initially, the LED light. Then start again after 5 seconds.
Is there a solution?
Pen drive recovery boot? How?

Solution

Wiggle your power cord and adapter if having power connection issues. You need to reset your CMOS to clear the BIOS update that stuck part way through. Here is the link to Asus help for your model notebook. It has a "how to" section that can hopefully get you up and running.

Dear Dee Kay.
I understand.
My notebook bios/uefi update during stop 35%. Bios/ufei interrupted. I took battery, but none. The machine only lighting green power led, then (5s) reboot. it is bios failure. There hard bios update in x55 series?
for example:
amiboot.bin file in pen drive, ctrl+home combo, etc.?

Thank you for your help.

Robika, I'm not sure if the BIOS chip in your notebook can be changed or if it is soldered in place. You may need to start a support ticket with Asus and inform them that the BIOS update freezes and won't go past 35%. Tell them that you suspect a hardware fault in the actual BIOS chip itself and need to know what to do. They can tell you if you need to return it to them or if there is a closer service center that can fix it.

Click on the link to Asus support and where it says customer service, click on the email option and it takes you to the form you need to fill out with all of your system specs. Good luck. http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/X55A/HelpDesk/
