Hi everyone.
I have a samsung s42ax-yb09 plasma tv which has lost the bottom of picture i would say 3 quarters of it workS but one quarter at the bottom doesn't. I don't know if it was a coincidence but when i turned it off i flicked the touch sensor power button.when i turned it on in the morning the bottom quarter of the picture did not work.
Please help
Please could you advise me on what the issue could be and how much it would cost to repair.

Here is a link to a picture of the tv

Sounds like you lost the Bottom panel. I would try completely unplugging it for a few minutes, and restarting.

Plasma screens do not have a backlight to replace. This would suggest a primary problem with the panel.

I would call a repair shop or two, describe the problem and see what they say. I suspect that the repair cost would either approach or even exceed the cost of a new LED HDTV.

Hi . I thought it might be the buffer panel . The line is where the screen starts is exactly level with the top of the second Ribon . It's a lovely tv and if can I will fix. The tv was banged were the touch sensor power button was to switch it off. Next morning it didn't work. I can post a picture if that would help
