Hey, I was looking at portable amps for headphones for your phone, tablet, PC, etc. Anyways, are there any amps that have unlimited battery life or do they all have to be charged? If so, please send me the name of some. Thanks.

there is no such thing as an "unlimited" battery.

if the device has batteries then eventually you will need to either replace or charge them.

something like the e17 (dac+amp) has a life around 15 hours of use, after which it will need charging.
the e11 (amp only) has a life of around 15-20 hours of use. after this it will need to be charged.

keep in mind volume levels, bass boost and how hard your headphones are to drive can certainly affect battery life by alot.

some units such as those with an integrated dac which use a usb port on your pc may also be charged in this manner (like the e17). while not unlimited battery, while you have it connected to the pc it constantly recharges itself.

the only amplifiers which have an unlimited...

the only amplifiers which have an unlimited power source are those that plug into the wall and use AC or are constantly connected to a device which supplies them power to charge their batteries.

I checked those amps and they are nice but a little expensive. Do you know any that are under $100 and also have a volume control on the amp? Also, USB charging is a big plus.

amps are not universal. you need to buy an amp sized to the headphones you want to power.

if you wanted to add bass to a pair of hd598's for instance you could make do with a $60-100 amp just fine, however if you wanted to power a pair of dt990-250's you'd need a much more powerful amp or you will get inferior performance. some headphones are much harder to drive than others.
