Ok, i been playing around with Prime95 to strees my cpu and system.
I am also running HW Monitor to watch temps and power.

My testing has given me some wild temps . I am using the Asrock Extreme6 990FX amd board along with AMD`s 9590cpu cooled with a corsair H100i closed loop.

In the Temps standing area
System temp runs around 91F max
CpuTin ran at a alarming 215f
auxtin max was 144f
tmpin was a max of 104f

did i just screw my cpu by having the temp hit 215f ?

Solution

ok, right now there all back down.
im seeing
systin at max of 93 and low of 85
cputin at max 125 and low of 102
auxtin at 144 all
tmpin 104 all

cpu temp max is at 115f low of 68

powers of round 75w

so with your info, do i need to RMA the board back, or no biggie on the temp sensor on the board.
IM kinda New to all this tech stuff. and stressing the board out to make sure this is ok and that is good. Before i never done this type of stuff. i just built my system and ran with it. Now i want to know more about things, so i can start to get to a point that when i build a NEW intel 2011, i can be fairly better at picking things out, that i want to us for my build. Right now im AMD guy, but want to break back into the Intel. and dont want to spend XX amount of cash, and then screw something up, with amd low cost, becomes a playing build ..

oh i dont have any fans running on the board . everything is done with the case or the Corsair cooler. i have no fans plugged into any of the fan headers .. should i run the fan headers or leave everything as is. dont know if this makes any changes but i am running a RM 1000w power. i didnt want to take away power from the board, so i didnt use the fan headers . was not forsure if the power was enuff to run everything, including the crossfire 280x`s ..

Thank you for the info. Turns out that it is just HWMonitor that is reading it wrong.
I contacted Asrock and they asked me to Download Sarda lite by SiSoftware. and with using that it did not give me any type of error, during the benchmarks. so im good to go.
again Thank you so much for the insite .. and giving me some food for thought about a possibility . again thank you
