Looking to get a Laptop for Gaming and College. I've had a look around and I'd like something like the MSI GS60 Ghost or the Lenovo Y50 for around €1500. It has to be light though as I can't be lugging a chunky gaming laptop around college.

I want an SSD, i7 processor or AMD equivalent, a 1tb hard drive, good graphics card, lightweight and a UHD/4k screen as an optional extra if i can get it for that price.

I really like the GS60s build, cool as F***, but it is a bit over priced for the same specs in a different body. I'm hoping their prices drop a bit once windows 10 comes out and they are shipping with windows 8.

What else is there in this category around this price? Whats the best Value for money?
I've seen the Razor Blade 14 but I don't think its worth the money and I really would prefer a 15.6' screen over a 14'. Is there any new laptops coming out soon that would be better?
I'm in no rush to buy.. Don't really need to get it till September.

What do you call "lightweight". Currently, this is the best one in Newegg that is in stock. But it weighs almost 5 lbs.

That would be fine in terms of weight. Unfortunately I can't buy from the US due to import tax here in Ireland.

I've found 2 Laptops that I'm leaning towards now, both MSI GS60s, both just over €1600 with shipping:

Intel® Core™ i7-4710HQ Quad Core Processor
15.6" Full HD Screen
Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
8GB DDR3 RAM
2x 128GB SSD Super Raid2 + 1000GB HDD
Dedicated GTX 870M 3GB Graphics
USB3 | HDMI | Bluetooth
Backlit Keyboard
2 Year Warranty
Includes SteelSeries Siberia V2 Gaming Headset & MSI Interceptor Mouse

or

Intel® Core™ i7-4720HQ Quad Core Processor
15.6" Full HD Screen
Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
16GB DDR3 RAM
128GB SSD + 1000GB HDD
Dedicated GeForce GTX 965M 2GB Graphics
USB3 | HDMI | Bluetooth | DisplayPort
Backlit Keyboard
2 Year MSI Warranty
Includes MSI Bag

Both Ram and Memory are expandable.
Both graphics cards give roughly the same performance.
So do i take the newer graphics card, slightly better processor and extra 8gb Ram, or the older graphics card with 1GB more VRAM and extra 128GB SSD?
Ignore the extra Headset, Mouse and Bag offered.

My third option would be to wait for these to drop in price and get a better spec (maybe 970m or 3k/4k display). Would the price drop enough between now and September for me to get a better graphics card or display at the same price or should I just go ahead and buy one of the above?
Let me know what you think.
What would you do?
