It is a Toshiba Laptop (Toshiba l305-s5946) with a Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6400, 250GB HDD, Windows XP, Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, 128MB-1342MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory, 1200x800 15.4" screen, 3GB of DDR2 RAM, Optical Drive, Webcam and microphone, 4000 mAH battery, and 3 USB 2.0 ports. It is about five years old. I am saving up for an Asus t100TAM and I need to know how much this old laptop is worth. Thanks!

The cost of purchasing Windows 7 is either equal to or more than the value of the laptop. At most the laptop is probably worth $100 if it is in good working order. The cost of Windows 7 OEM is $100. Combining the two does not mean someone is willing to pay up to $200 for the laptop.

It is unknown what someone maybe willing to pay for the laptop with Windows 7 when listed on eBay or Craigslist. It might be auctioned off for less than the cost of Windows 7. It might be auctioned off at a price equal to Windows 7. Or it might be auctioned off at a price that is a little more than the cost of Windows 7.

Who knows? Maybe the laptop with Windows 7 installed will sell for close to $200. But I would consider that to be a grand slam home run.
