I REALLY DONT WANT TO PURCHASE ANOTHER BOX FROM AT&T JUST FOR OCCASINAL USE IN BASEMENT.... I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND MY QUESTION LOL THANKS

Solution
It depends on the connections that the box has. If you want to use HDMI you will need a distribution amp to do that. You may also need a way to operate the box from the basement.
This would an IR extender (unless the remote is RF or IP). Something like this should work:

If the wireless receiver has other outputs than HDMI and they work simultaneously then you could use the component or composite video and audio outs for the basement TV. You would still want to be able to control the box from the basement so an IR system would be needed
