Okay. One day, my little brother was watching a movie on my old Toshiba Satellite and I wen into another room for a second. When I came back, he had torn off the alt and x keys, I put them back on, and now my laptop won't let me type. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like the alt key is not properly installed and is permanently in the pressed position which will cause all the other keys to cease functioning until the alt key is no longer pressed. Try removing the alt key and see if the other keys then work.
