I like soms good bass and clear sound. My options are:
Razer kraken pro
TURTLE BEACH EAR FORCE RECON 320
TURTLE BEACH EAR FORCE RECON 100
BOSE SOUNDTRUE AROUND-EAR
Sorry for caps it was copy and paste from an online store.
Any other suggestions are welcome, probably around 150$ or less, 3.5mm Jack and no mic, or a mic that you can slide in like with the razer one.

Turtle beach headphones are not designed for true sound replication, they are optimized to improve response to gaming stimuli such as footsteps and gunshots. They are good headphones, but not the best option for music.

Bose are just overpriced.

+1 Audio Technica m50, very good headset.

Personally wouldnt get any of those, my choices would be the audio technica m50 for music, or for a more gaming oriented headphone but still very good for music and with a detachable mic, the hyperx cloud II.

I would recommend the Razer kraken pro is comfortable, produces great sound, and has a simplistic format. I have these, and they work great. And, to top it all of, they are incredibly fashionable.

none of the models listed are all that great for music. gaming headsets typically work for gaming but do not have the best sound quality and are rather bad for music and movies. the models listed above are not even the most desireable for just gaming either.

if you absolutely needed a headset the original (not v2) hyper x cloud headset is pretty decent and gets great feedback. worth checking out. good for gaming and should be fair (but not the best choice) for music.

the gamecom 780 and siberia v2 full size also score decent but both have issues with them. the 780 has driver problems relating to surround and the v2 has build quality issues.

if you are okay with going the headphone route with a seperate mic you will get much more quality in terms of sound. the m50 is not a bad choice as its available for $99-120. sound quality is great for the price although they have a very small soundstage which makes them not ideal (but still useable) for gaming. they are a bit bassier than most headphones and have a generally warm sound.

the hd558 is rather inexpensive and has an open soundstage with less bass than the m50 and is a good choice for gaming or music listening for users who want an open sound without crazy bass.

I agree with the above posters, I would not go for any of those for music. The Audio Technica M50 is a fantastic choice, and the highest rated pair of headphones at reviewers like headphonesunboxed.com. If the M50 is not avaliable, other great options are the Sennheiser HD 598 or the Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro - these are open and semi-open, which means that they are even better than the M50 for music in my opinion, they give a more complete sound experience.

In addition to the Sennheisers, Audio Technica, and Beyerdynamic headphones recommended above, I would also add the Grado SR-80s and, if you listen to jazz, classical, and vocal-dominated music (as opposed to boom boom pop/rap/house/techno), the AKG K240 or (if budget allows) AKG K612.

Stay away from Bose and Beats and you'll be ok. I agree with Kulikov that Turtle Beach is for gamers, not music lovers.

I would personally go for the Sennheiser HD 598's. PricenFees has a good review of them. I've had them for quite some time now and I'm still pretty happy.
