Hello, I need help. My laptop battery refused to charge until the battery level became drained to 0%. The status when plugged to AC at all times is "0% remaining (charging)". When the battery is removed, the AC powers the laptop fine.
I then thought it was battery problem. I went ahead to buy a new battery; the same problem continued; no improvement. I later thought that probably it was a charger battery. The next day, I went ahead to buy a new charger. Despite this, no improvement. The status remains charging but no increment in the percentage of the battery level.
I need a working solution; currently I am fed up. Please help!

There is probably an issue with the internal power jack that feeds power to charge the battery or diverts it to the motherboard for running on AC power. Likely the issue is in the charging circuit. Power jack issues are common as the solder points are known to break regardless of brand or model even with minimal abuse or drops, sometimes even without any abnormal conditions.

If you are comfortable replacing the power jack you can likely find a youtube tutorial showing how to disassemble and replace the power jack, normally a plug and play procedure once disassembled. Otherwise, you can probably get a repair shop to do it for a reasonable fee.
