Hi Gurus...
After reinstalling windows 7, i updated few drivers from:
http://esupport.sony.com/p/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DRIVER

they were of webcam, sound and graphics.. all went well...

then i pissed my laptop off when, in the same list i saw
"BIOS Update Utility", to version R0300Y8 (previously, it was R0200Y8), downloaded and installed it,. :'( :'(((((

it restarted to complete the update,, now my laptop has been turning off after few seconds., (like during its boot, as soon as it reaches wallpaper screen, bios screen, when booted through WIn7 DVD)...

i desperately need your replies with solutions ...
your responses will be highly appreciated... ive already invested alot on it...

I'd find the product page for your exact model and then download and re-flash the previous bios version using their flash utility. That should not require being in windows and should be capable of flashing in the DOS environment. If not, try pressing shift+F8 or just F8, repeatedly as soon as you power on until you see the advanced boot menu options. Choose the safe mode option and safe mode with networking. Once in windows you can try running the BIOS update utility again or go into device manager to see if possibly it's a driver issue causing the unit to fail to boot. If there are devices remarked by question mark or exclamation point, right click on them and select "update driver software" and then update automatically.
