I have a Sony VAIO vpcea33en. And an ati graphics card integrated of course. I have been having this issue where the display goes off completely. On connecting to an external monitor it shows the start up screen but has red broad lines all over. And I can only boot it on safe mode on external monitor. I have been getting it repaired once every few months hoping that not playing games etc should not tax it so much. But it happens too frequently. Is a motherboard change my only remaining option? Kindly suggest
