Hey everyone, just wanted to get advice on a setup I had in mind for my pc as I know little in terms of audio equipment. To start with I want to keep it a simple 2.0 system for now, hopefully upgrading it slowly down the line. For now I would like to keep the budget at about $350.

For the reciever I was thinking: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077V8930/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER ($199)
Speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290202&cm_re=polk-_-82-290-202-_-Product ($129)

Just looking to get the most bang for my buck before pulling the trigger and buying anything. Any help / advice would be appreciated.

You will get better sound going with a real AV receiver and speakers rather than a PC/Gaming speaker system. Also more flexible. The Onkyo for the money is a very good. Speakers are tougher and your own taste enters into it a lot. At the price of the Polks you should also consider the Pioneer

or even better a pair of used speakers such as Paradigm.
