Can someone help out on this ? I have Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 installed on my PC, my sound card is : Realtek ALC1150, and I have the HyperX Cloud headset connected to the rear panel of my PC (I use it all the time).

Question : in the Sound Blaster app, in the advanced settings, should I put it to Stereo, Headphones or 5.1/7.1 surround (see the picture : http://i.imgur.com/d9XjfzA.jpg) ?? What is correct of these three options?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
First of all never use 5.1 or 7.1 on a 2.0 channel as it will redistribute the sound to ghost channels, and you will hear very thin/low voices or maybe only background noise of the scene/game you're playing.

Set it on Stereo for more umph, or Headphones for soothing balance.(its slightly different so it doesn't matter really)

Now for what it makes the diference on SBX Pro Studio turn it on, and turn the crystalizer to 60-80% gain depending on your taste, turn OFF surround bass and Dialog+ at it will diminish the sound and overall experience, Turn smart volume to normal at 70-85% gain for a leveled sound experience in games and such, it really pops out the details, or you cnat turn Scout mode on instead, but I dislike it as it makes...

Finally save your profile with a name and Ta-Da!

Hope I helped!
