Hello am about to buy a budget gaming laptop and i found 2 variants with almost the same price, i need to know which is a better laptop for gaming and general everyday use, am specially concerned about gaming performance and overheating problems, according to what i read it seems both of them tend to overheat, also am concerned about the gaming performance of the i5-4210h on the msi according to game-debate.com it's not sufficient to run farcry 4!!
i would really appreciate your opinion and sharing your experiences

Here are specs:
1) msi ge70 2pe i5-4210h | 8gb | 1000 hdd | 17.3 fhd | gtx 860m
2) lenovo y510p i7 4700mq | 8gb | 1000 hdd | 15.6 fhd | 755m sli

hello there i have personally not owned either of these laptops or brands i did however just buy the ge62 apache which is going to replace the ge60 series and ge70 series. now with response to your question i know for a fact that the ge70 has only one exaust vent where as the new model ge72 has 2 exaust vents and a cooler for the gpu and cooler for the cpu where as the ge70 does not, in my own opinion i think that budget laptops have poor cooling anyways due to the fact that they are making the laptop as cheap as possible, now the I7 will out perform an I5 any day of the week. let me ask you this have you looked at other brands of gaming laptops? ASUS has a budget laptop around the price of the MSI since i dont know what your budget is...
