I have had issues with my Lenovo G580, last December it shut off on its own and then would not boot up. I did all the tricks described and it eventually restarted. I was nervous because I had an event coming up where I was going to need the laptop. I rebooted it about 5 times and everything was good. Last week I got a Lenovo update and a few days later the unit shut down. When I try to reboot the Lenovo is displayed on the screen (not black) and the CD and hard drive spins up but it will not boot up. I tried all the tricks removing power and battery, pressing and holding power for 1 minute - 3 times.....
What can I do next to determine if the issue is the motherboard, bios or hard drive?
