Hey guys,

My Logitech G930 is currently broken after a few years of usage and I would like to make an upgrade.

Currently, i'm thinking about an Sennheiser 363D, 360 or even the 333D headset for gaming, eg. Battlefield, COD soundwhoring.. etc. (I also listen to music)

The only problem I have with these is that it says it has an "open design" does that mean if I am listening to music, while chatting to friends on skype, does that mean that they will hear my audio too?

My friend has a steelseries headset (I don't know which one it is) and we can hear his music through his mic even though he is wearing the headset. If the Sennheiser headsets have these problems i'd like to know that. Thanks!

I'n not sure why your friends Steelseries has that problem, it's very uncommon for Steelseries headsets. Well if you're wearing a open backed headset your friends won't be able to hear what you are hearing unless you turn up your volume higher than normal. It's usually highly recommended to get a open backed headset since they are normally bass light meaning easier to hear footsteps, also because of the bigger soundstage.

From your list i'd go with the PC 363D preferably because of it's virtual 7.1, but I highly recommend going with headphones and a modmic/ desktop mic for the best experience overall, ask me if you are interested.

Also if you can give me your budget and where you can buy from I could recommend you headsets/headphones/mics/modmics.

Hope this helps!

Is the 363D a open backed headset? I'd like to know that.

As for the budget anything preferably under $300 is fine with me, i'm from Australia (Melbourne) and don't really mind whether it gets shipped or I pick it up from a store.

As for the mic mods/desktop mic, I think i'll be fine with the built in mic (as I only use it to chat on skype with friends) with the Sennheiser 363D as i've heard they are very high quality.
