Odd speaker issue.

One of my speakers in a 2.1 speaker setup with a sub is having an issue where it sometimes makes very little sound until I play a sudden loud base filled sound. It then works perfectly. Its like it is getting stuck. Does any one know what is happening?

If the speakers are designed to go into standby after no signal for a certain time then the speakers may not be coming on until a large input is received due to a component in this circuit being defective.

that might be the issue then. Because when I do give it the kick in the ass to get it started, both make a small pop and then the other one starts working. Is this an issue I should be worried about or can I just ignore it?
