i just bought a hp 15goo3nia laptop (AMD WITH RADEON GRAPHICS) but the problem is that my display graphics in my device manager displays Microsoft basic display adapter instead of AMD. Is this a driver problem or hardware? help please cos this issue is really frustrating

You must get the driver from the HP website only. It's still an AMD driver but it's custom-made for HP to match the hardware exactly. Driver from AMD may not match the hardware exactly in, which case it. won't work properly.
Catalyst Control Centre will work wherever you get the driver package from as that's just a settings utility.
It's the actual driver that can cause problems if you don't get it from HP.
