PC headphone jack not working

If i plug in my headphones in the headphone jack the sound doesn't work but if i use my other headset and plug it in the usb header and than there is no problem with the sound. pls help

Is the front panel audio connected to the motherboard?

yes, is used the front and the back headphone jack, but either way. it didn't work

Have you installed the audio driver? What motherboard using?

the pc doesn't recognize the headphone either, my motherboard : Gigabyte Z87X-D3H,s1150

Then the headphones might be defective. Do speakers work when plugged in the audio port, or you haven't tested?

I tried 3-4 different headsets and speakers. and i tested everything on an other pc and on my phone and it worked perfect. The only things that worked are the speakers in my screen but they are attached with a hdmi cable. and a headset which is connected with an usb cable.

Then it might be an audio controller issue. If the board is under warranty, you can try RMA it. Or add an audio card.
