1. What is your budget?

Less than $3,000 (I know, what's a budget?)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

No bigger than 15.6" (want to stay on the smaller end for moving around between work, home, and the occasional coffee shop)

3. What screen resolution do you want?

At least 1920x1080, 3K and 4K are nice but not necessary

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Portable, as this machine will go everywhere I go.

5. How much battery life do you need?

Enough to get me from place to place, 4 hours will probably work.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

League of Legends (my main game) - HIGH
Guild Wars 2 (my MMO crack) - HIGH
Diablo 3 (when I get bored) - HIGH

Out of the Park Baseball 16 (wait, what?) - HIGH (although it's barely graphic intensive)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Some photo editing for my job, graphic designing, web development, web designing, coding for Windows programs and the occasional MySQL database query.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

Not a huge issue as I can always add external HDD, but 512 GB SSD would be lovely

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

XoticPC, Newegg, Best Buy, etc.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

Until it dies, so maybe 4-5 years would be great.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

No optical drive needed.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I have 3 laptops in mind but I am trying to get the most bang for my buck.

Razer Blade (2015), MSI GS60/WS60 (I'm trying to figure out if the industrial GPU would be advantagous or not necessary since I don't do a lot of CAD work), Aorus X3 v3. I am always open to more ideas though.

13. What country do you live in?

USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

A touchscreen laptop would be nice but it is not a deal breaker. The ability to output 3K or 4K resolution through would also be awesome, but, again, not a deal breaker.

well as u do a lot of video editing.. u can go for a macbook pro.. which has FCP which is very powerful tool for video editing.. its under 3grand.. extremely good display and 15inch.. great battery life.. u can get a 512 gig ssd.. i think gtx 750ti is not a deal breaker.. if u cant carry that i dont think u can carry any other high end laptop.. and as always u can install windows if u wish..

I have indeed looked at the Razer Blade. It's one of the ones I listed in liking. So I'll definitely count your post as a vote for the Blade!

Thanks!

yep that is a good option .. but the catch is if u go for FHD u get better battery life but only 8gb ram.. if u go for QHD+ u get 16 gb ram and comparitively less battery life..
